Owly's First Field Trip (To The Community Market)
Thank you 1A for sending Owly to the Crowsnest Community Market! I hope he had lots of fun visiting and exploring the market!
Please tell us what Owly likes most at the market and learns while he is there.
Owly loved meeting new people and trying all sorts of new things. There are some photos of all that he saw while he was there. But his favorite thing was getting to see friends while there!
Where is the market?
Blairmore Gazebo Park (downtown Blairmore)
When can we go to the market?
The Market is new this year and happened all summer long from late June till Early September on Thursday nights from 4-8pm. It will happen again next summer as well!
What is Owly’s favourite food at the market? Can he try food?
Owly tried all sorts of yummy food including free cookies, kombacha tea, cucumbers, popcorn, and an apricot. Owly’s favorite was probably the juicy apricot. (Though Benji’s mom’s favorite is the waffles at Waffle wagon)
What is Owly’s favourite meat?
Owly didn’t get to try any meat this time. However he did find some fossilized fish that he wished he could have eaten! (but fossilized fish aren’t as yummy as fresh ones) He also said his favorite meat is hotdogs and next time wants to try one too.
Are there any other owls at the market?
While visiting Randy’s art booth Owly spotted some other birds in Randy’s paintings. Is there another owl there too? Owly also learned about bears and being bear smart. But they didn’t have any owls either.
What kind of things are there at the market?
Music, shopping, chalk drawing, lots of fun booths to go to. Sometimes there are special classes put on but groups or activities. Every week the market has different people and things to do.
Are there any games that Owly liked to play at the market?
Owly loved getting a balloon sword and playing with his friends. He also loved the chalk drawings (sorry no pic of that one)
